And in the days of
these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be
destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall
break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without
hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver,
and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass
hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
(Daniel 2:44 & 45)
Who you are in God’s Kingdom and What you are to
Satan’s kingdom
You need to understand that your enemy, Satan, does
not want you to undertake any projects for the LORD. He also does not want you
to receive blessings from the LORD or to make any kind of progress in God's
Kingdom. The truth is that the Devil is terrified whenever you record success
in Kingdom work. Whenever an individual or a nation receives a blueprint of GOD'S
new plan, Satan and his host of demons are moved a step closer to their
ultimate destination, the lake of hell fire. For this reason, they will put up all
the resistance they can muster in order to frustrate the plan. However, Jesus
has already declared, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:10)
God’s Kingdom Pattern
Jesus preached about the Kingdom of God more than any
other subject. This is why God's design for earth must be patterned after the
one in His eternal and invisible Kingdom. The LORD GOD revealed His plans to
earthly kings in preparation for the coming of His Son, our Lord Jesus, to
earth. Jesus came and set up God’s Kingdom on earth using believing men
and women as obedient subjects of His awesome plan. Satan tried to frustrate Jesus’
earthly work by offering Him a purely earthy kingdom without any heavenly
dimension to it but failed.
Again, the devil taketh
him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the
world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give
thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
(Matthew 4:8 & 9)
Satan is already defeated
The above discourse between Jesus and Satan shows us
that the earth’s kingdoms and their kings are being constantly manipulated by
Satan and are therefore evil. Jesus’ victory over Satan enabled Him to bring
down the Kingdom of God and plant it in the hearts of obedient men and women.
Today, the Kingdom of God is thriving and advancing powerfully alongside
rebellious and wicked earthly kings and rulers and subjects. Though the contest
between God and Satan for the control of the earth continues, God is far
stronger and therefore the ultimate victor.
In Luke 4:17 we read that from that time on, Jesus
began to preach repentance because the Kingdom of heaven was about to arrive
earth. God had already revealed this plan to earthly king Nebuchadnezzar. Though
God gave Nebuchadnezzar this honour and power and wealth, he became proud and
was ruined. Earthly fame was not what God wanted for him but divine value.
God’s Pattern Revealed in Nebuchadnezzar’s Kingdom
Prophet Daniel was therefore raised by the LORD to
give the meaning of the prophecy and to humble Nebuchadnezzar. God humiliated King
Nebuchadnezzar by giving him the mind of an ox for seven years, eating grass
and walking on his hands and knees. He came back to his senses and he and his
subjects served God thereafter. The peace of God reigned in the land as God’s
Kingdom pattern was established. Prophet Daniel is a prototype for us to emulate.
God’s Kingdom is of Love and Peace on Earth
The result of having heaven's Kingdom on earth is
PEACE and LOVE on earth. When there is peace, there is power, and power yields
productivity. Our Lord Jesus demonstrated this when He defeated Satan via the
power of God’s Holy Ghost that descended on Him at His baptism to send Him
forth into his earthly ministry. He is the Messiah. God's Word manifested and
brought low all earthly kingdoms. Heaven's Kingdom was thus established among
men. The adversary will continue to try to discourage us from advancing Kingdom
work but remember that God’s Holy Spirit, which He has given to us, does not promote fear but
power, love and sound thinking. (2
Thimothy1:7). God so LOVES us that He sent Jesus (John 3:16), the PRINCE OF
PEACE (Isaiah 9:6), to rescue us from hell’s path and place us back into His
Kingdom
Your Role
From these scriptural revelations, we the subjects of
GOD'S Kingdom on earth are to boldly declare to the unsaved world His new order
of PEACE and LOVE through faith in Yeshua,
Jesus Christ. God's power through Yeshua
will always humble earthly rulers. Judgement will come swiftly on those who
refuse to hearken to the word of the LORD. We who have believed have received
the Great Commission and so must be resolute in our service to His Kingdom. Revelations
16:14 tells us that Satan’s evil spirits are now roaming the whole earth
deceiving kings and even performing fake miracles as a way of gathering the
disobedient for the day of God’s judgement and destruction. These evil forces
and their conspirators are working behind the scenes to frustrate the spread of
the gospel of peace. They are attempting to cage the truth of God through the
use of violence, deceit, treachery and malice against us. We should not resort
to their carnal tactics but trust the LORD, our Warrior, who is mighty in
battle, employing spiritual weapons which can pull down satanic strongholds. Victory
is surely ours because the Kingdom of God has been established to last forever.
And the seventh angel
sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever. Rev. 11:15
Join us today and be part of God’s reigning army.
Invite Jesus into your heart. Amen.
