ISLAMIC SHARIAH TRIBUNAL BEGINS IN TEXAS

 A group of Muslims in northern Texas has created what may be the first official Shariah law system in the United States.

The Shariah tribunal in Irving, Texas, is trying to assure Americans they're not planning to follow the type of Shariah law practiced in Muslim countries.
In those places, severe punishments are common, women have very few rights, and blasphemy against Mohammed can result in a death sentence.
But tribunal judge Imam Moujahed Bakhach is denying that will happen in America.
"The misconception about what they see through the media is that Shariah means cut the head, chop the heads, cut the hands, and we are not in that," he said. "We are not here to invade the White House or invade Austin."
But Robert Spencer of JihadWatch wrote: "There is no school of Islamic jurisprudence among either Sunnis or Shi'tes that does not mandate stoning for adultery, amputation of the hand for theft, and the subjugation of women."
Imam Bakhach and three other Muslim judges are planning to bypass the traditional legal system of Texas to handle civil cases on their own.
They plan to start by administering their own rulings for cases like divorce and business disputes.
But critics caution that allowing Shariah tribunals to operate in the U.S. essentially allows Islamic law to replace U.S. law, and will undermine the established U.S. rights of some of the victims.
The Center for Security Policy issued a report in 2011, documenting how Shariah law is already being applied in official state courts across America.
"The facts are the facts: some judges are making decisions deferring to Shariah law even when those decisions conflict with constitutional protections," the group states.
The report discovered 50 such cases involving "Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process."
"These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah. When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection, they are betraying the principles on which America was founded," the Center for Security Policy states.
Spencer agrees, pointing out that is the track record of Shariah around the world.
"Sharia policies throughout history and today have denied the freedom of speech and the freedom of conscience, and they have mandated discrimination against women and non-Muslims," Spencer said.

Political atmosphere comes to the boil in Nigeria ahead of the upcoming elections, and the war of words is observed mostly between the major competitors, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Daily Trust, this time a controversial statement was made by Nigeria’s Vice President Muhammed Namadi Sambo. Speaking February 3 in Minna, Niger State, during the presidential campaign, Sambo noted that the PDP has more Muslims in its leadership than the APC. However, he urged voters not to be guided by the principle of religion in making their choice.
Sambo, who spoke in Hausa, said:

“When people bring the issue of religion to deceive you, our party has more Muslims than APC. Therefore if this (is) the yardstick, we then have an edge.
“Our chairman is a Muslim; the Director General of our campaign is a Muslim likewise. I Namadina Namadina Sambo am a Muslim. It is only our presidential candidate that is a Christian.
“In APC, their chairman is a Christian, their Campaign Director General is a Christian and the Vice President is a Pastor. Now let me ask you, which between the parties has more Muslims?..."

BAKARE CRITICIZES C.A.N. & P.F.N. FOR ENDORSING JONATHAN

Pastor Tunde Bakare has criticised CAN and PFN for endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan for the 14 February presidential election at the expense of one of their own, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the running mate to the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.  NAIJ.COM

According to PM News, Pastor Bakare in a sermon titiled “The Sweet And Sour Ministry Of The Prophet”, said ”some of the compromising Christian leaders he often described as palace prophets, were only after their pockets, which was why they have queued behind Jonathan and rejected their son.”

He explained that “a prophet is sent to bring change not build consensus,” adding that “whenever you compromise what is right in order to gain acceptance with men, you lose acceptance with God.”

Findings by PM News reveal that the Leaders of CAN and PFN had met at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, to pray for the nation and the forthcoming election, but the meeting turned out to be for a secret endorsement of Jonathan’s candidacy.

In attendance at the meeting, were Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG; Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel; Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, CAN President; Rev. Felix Omobude, PFN President; Pastor Paul Adefarasin, PFN Vice President; Pastor Wale Adefarasin of the Guiding Light Assembly and other key Christian leaders in the nation.

Pastor Osinbajo was also at the meeting to seek their blessing to support him and the candidacy of General Muhammed Buhari.

Pastor Paul Adefarasin was said to have broken the silence when he asked Adeboye who they should support since his ‘son’, Pastor Osinbajo is vying for the vice presidency with Buhari. They wanted Aeboye to say something and Osinbajo was watching as he believed that ‘Baba’ will certainly ask other leaders to endorse him, but he was disappointed

Adeboye was said to have told them that he is a man under authority and that since he is under the authority of CAN and PFN, whoever they endorsed, he would support and go with them.

It was then that Oyedepo stood up and said he had prayed and that God was leading him to endorse and support Jonathan and that was the script the Christian leaders adopted at the expense of Osinbajo.

Instead of the meeting being for prayer for the nation, it was gathered that it turned out to be for the secret endorsement of Jonathan as all the leaders present except Osinbanjo agreed that CAN and PFN should go with Jonathan.

Osinbajo was not allowed to address the Christian leaders, giving the excuse that since the other contesting party was not present, they would not allow him to address the audience.

He was said to be downcast as his own rejected his aspiration.

Several Nigerian pastors have openly supported President Jonathan running for a second term.

On January 26, 2015 Sunday, President Goodluck made a surprise appearance at Bishop David Oyedepo’s Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Ota, Ogun State, asking the congregation to pray for the country.

The visit resulted in an alleged threat by Bishop Oyedepo to open the gate of Hell on those who opposed Jonathan. The Bishop has however denied the allegations, describing them as an attempt to rubbish his reputation.

Saying they have started actualizing their agenda with the boko haram activities. Saying boko haram aim is to totally

Pastor Bosun a delegate of the just concluded Nigeria conference under the religion umbrella says that on Sep 15th 2014 God spoke to Dr Vincent Anigbogu, D.G institute of national transformation, saying that if care is not taking Nigeria would be like the nation Turkey in 30years from 2014. Saying turkey was 100% Christians but at present, Turkey is 0.124% Christians and 95% Muslims saying Christianity existed in turkey for 1,123years and Islam uprooted.

Saying Christianity in Nigeria is just 172 years old (Methodist batch freeman).turkey had a very strong and solid Christian foundation as Apostle Paul was from Turkey, but it was still uprooted, if Christianity give them the opportunity they would do the same here. If that can be done in Turkey with a very strong religious background then Nigeria wouldn’t be an exception if Christians make the same mistake as Turkey.

He said Nigeria Christians are making the same mistake as Turkey, saying as quote.
1) Turkey under estimated the young Ottoman ruler (Nigeria churches are under estimating Boko
Haram).
2) The church in Constantine old name for Istanbul capital of Turkey was one of the best defended city in Europe (Nigeria thinks they are the biggest in
Africa)
3) Racism and tribalism weakened the church in Turkey(Nigeria church is affected by racism and
tribalism)
4) The weapon used in destroying the church in Turkey was invented by a Christian (Christians are the once strategizing for Muslims in Nigeria)

He categorically said the APC is a party to watch carefully, saying the APC has hired the campaign manager of Barack Obama to strategize for them saying when he came to Nigeria he needed someone to interface for him the person he employed was a pastor, so power could be handed over to a party (APC)with all purpose and intent is an Islamic brotherhood.

Pastor Bosun also hinted that Nigerians core problem is from the Nigerian constitution saying it’s
a problem of dual ideology within the Nigeria constitution .said sharia was mentioned 73times in
the Nigeria constitution, Islam was mentioned 28times, grand cadi 54 times & Muslim 40 times in
the Nigeria constitution 1999, saying there was no mention of Christians in the Nigeria’s constitution, no mention of the bible, no single mention of Christ, no single mention of church.

Saying constitutionally that Nigeria is an Islamic state instead of a circular state. Saying it hasn’t been fully enforced because they haven’t captured the south west. But recently there has been a hand shake between the North West and south west with the disguise of a political party (APC).

He also emphasized the church must raise disciples instead of billionaires saying the church should be galvanized in righteous actions, pray and fast for the church and also stated the Goodluck should be given the mandate of Christians to avert the hideous plans of Islamic brotherhood under the APC disguise.

CATHOLIC CHURCH FORESEES TROUBLE, VIOLENCE

PRESS STATEMENT URGING NIGERIANS TO PREPARE TO MITIGATE THE IMPACT OF POSSIBLE OUTBREAK OF VIOLENCE DURING THE FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS BY THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF CARITAS NIGERIA AND NATIONAL SECRETARY OF JDPC EVARISTUS BASSEY, CATHOLIC SECRETARIAT OF NIGERIA ON THE 30TH OF JANUARY 2015

Gentlemen of the Press, this press statement is being issued in my capacity as the Executive Secretary of Caritas Nigeria who is also responsible for coordinating the JDPC groups within the country. Caritas Nigeria is the relief and development agency of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria while Justice Development and Peace Committee at the national level is the advocacy organ of the Conference.

As you may know there are several forms of humanitarian crises already brewing in Nigeria: There is the silent Sahel food crisis affecting the food and nutrition needs of those states in the Sahel region like Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe etc.; there is the post-flood humanitarian crisis, with many still to recover their livelihoods even after billions of naira were collected; there is the potential Niger Delta crisis which could erupt anytime, and there is the mother of all humanitarian crises caused by Boko Haram which has led to the greatest displacements and miseries since the civil war. 

On top of all these are the potential dangers and humanitarian emergencies that may arise because of the already charged presidential elections. From our discussions with our partners in some parts of the country, the certain towns and cities are already so charged that potentially lives and properties are not safe, depending on the outcome of the elections. 

It does appear that a predetermined outcome for the elections is demanded by some groups that no matter how free and fair it is, if it does not suit them, they would resort to violence that could lead to loss of lives. Consequently at a Contingency Planning meeting for possible elections violence attended by JDPC representatives from volatile states, we resolved the following:

Preventive Measures:

Church and Mosque leaders should intensify sensitization of their members to avoid violence whatever the outcome of the elections

Clergymen themselves must avoid being inciting and partisan during their sermons

Clergymen should admonish their members against inciting and abusive language in the social media

Traditional leaders should hold meetings with youth leaders on the need for peaceful conduct during and after the elections

Parents and elderly relatives should call their wards and warn them not to be used as instruments of violence by politicians

Citizens should be aware that during voting there will be a card reader that would match the thump print on the permanent voter card with that of the holder; it is therefore useless to collect other people’s voter cards

Citizens should not rely on the assurances of security agencies alone, as the scale of violence, if it happens, may overwhelm their capacity, and therefore must be extra vigilant

Citizens must pray against violence. On this note the JDPCs will be holding prayer rallies across five geo-political zones, except for the North East.

B. In the Case of a possible outbreak of Violence we advise the following:

Citizens in volatile places should stock essential commodities in case shops are not open for days

Citizens should by now make arrangements for safe havens in case they have to escape from their homes; and those who can, should move their families from volatile areas, as the right to life is stronger than the right to vote

After voting, although they could stay back to observe the counting, we advise ordinary citizens in volatile places to go home, and allow politicians to sort themselves out. The Catholic Church is deploying 4889 observers in 23 States, these observers will also stay back to observe to the end.

We advise churches and mosques to set aside some funds to deal with possible humanitarian crises that may arise, to complement government effort which often times is inadequate and therefore unreliable; especially with the experience of the current IDPs situation. After more than four years of a humanitarian crisis caused by Boko Haram we should be more proficient in handling these things but government is still  dropping  items and going away. Up till now, no proper camps.

Finally we advise Nigerians to know that politicians are all the same. If APC, everyone will move there and if PDP wins, they will move back to PDP, so it is not worth it destroying property and or especially destroying lives just because one set of politicians have lost elections.

THE PROPHETIC DESTINY OF GOODLUCK JONATHAN 2

A YEAR IN WHICH THE LORD BRINGS PRESIDENT JONATHAN 

AND THE NATION OF NIGERIA TO THE VALLEY OF JEHOSHAPHAT

The Divine Mandate of God on Nigeria is that Nigeria would be the nation that will ignite the revival that would lead to the return of Christ in glory. Nigeria is a missionary nation with a mandate to evangelize Africa, and also preserve the seed of the true gospel to be spread to other nations to influence the universal church to come back to holiness and the true word of God. (See Pg. 334 of my book, ‘In The Master’s Presence’). For Nigeria to fulfill this mandate, God needs a David to be seated on the Throne of Nigeria. President Jonathan is like the biblical Jonathan who would prepare the conditions for the emergence of the Biblical David. President Jonathan is on the Throne to supervise the crumbling of Nigeria until we come to the point where we are forced to address our weak foundation. Our present foundation laid on injustice, wickedness, Leviathan, Tribalism and Mammon cannot carry the large structure that God wants to build in Nigeria. That foundation must be destroyed and a new one laid on the rock.

Since his ascension to the Throne, the President has been distracted by various forces and has not been able to do the task that God wants him to do even though it is wired in his heart to do it. In the year 2013, God will orchestrate the circumstances that would cause the President to do or refrain from doing this singular task which is the reason God brought him to the Throne. It would be a matter of life and death for him. He will be better off if he surrounds himself with God fearing people who will stand by him when the shaking comes. If he is surrounded by enemies, they will take advantage of the situation and devour him and this will cause a shaking for the nation.

I do not yet know the exact circumstances that will bring the President to this Valley of decision but I will counsel him to read Jl.3:1-3; Zech.12:1-4 and Ps.129:5-8. He should be careful in aligning against Israel no matter the pressure from the so called International Community. The Lord said that from 2012, He would cut off every finger that points to His people in accusation or contempt. It could well be an issue connected with Israel that would trigger the Nigerian/Jonathan situation - This is not yet clear to me. However, I rest secure in the word of God in Am.3:7: “Surely, the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets to his servant the Prophets.” My faith is that as long as there are intercessors in the land and the President chooses to associate with true men of God, there may be opportunity for an early warning. However, the President should be wary of the 2nd and third month (February/March) and also the 9th to the 11th Month (September to November).

If the President scales the hurdle of 2013, he will do well not to enter the contest for 2015 in self will. He must pray fervently to ensure that he has the backing of God the way he had it in 2011 otherwise it will not go well.
